The search was conducted near the Nizhny Shinginsky Waterfall in the Lomonosovsky District of Leningrad Region.
On the evening of February 2, the suspect in the boy«s murder gave testimony to an investigator. He described how he committed the crime and pointed to an unfrozen lake near Yalgelevo as the place where he dumped the body.
After the man«s detention, operatives and investigators drove to the indicated location. Dozens of volunteers joined them, but their participation was quickly halted.
The four-day search ended tragically.
