Blogger Cloud Rommel sentenced to 15 years for child rape
Orthodox blogger and military operation participant Cloud Rommel has been sentenced to 15 years in a strict-regime colony for the systematic sexual abuse of a minor.

The verdict was announced on February 2 by the Krasnogvardeysky District Court of St. Petersburg.

The court found that from January 2021 to February 2024, Rommel, while in an apartment on Zanevsky Prospekt, regularly committed sexual acts against a girl born in 2013.

He exploited the child«s helpless state and his authority as an adult, causing her physical and moral suffering.
The investigation also proved the fact of rape.
The defendant did not admit guilt. He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict-regime colony.
After the crimes became known in winter 2024, the victim was placed in a shelter, while Rommel himself was in a combat zone.
In the fall of the same year, during the selection of a preventive measure, he stated his intention to return to the front, because «I need to help the guys.»
When asked about sexual relations with a minor, the blogger lowered his eyes and answered: «No, I don»t even want to hear such horrors.«
According to the defendant«s father, he was named Alexander at birth. After returning from Donbas in 2014, he renounced his parents, changed his name and surname to Cloud Rommel — in honor of the German field marshal. In St. Petersburg, he took up blogging and claimed that Saint John of Kronstadt appeared to him.
