A BELAZ driver was injured in Krasnokamensk, as reported on February 3 in the Telegram channel «Incident Krasnokamensk». Trans-Baikal Health Minister Oksana Nemakina told a Chita.Ru correspondent that the patient is in serious condition.
The Belarusian Automobile Plant (BELAZ) — one of the world«s largest and the only producer of mining equipment in the CIS. Some of its dump trucks are among the largest in the world.
«The patient is serious, in intensive care, receiving all necessary care,» the minister said.
The Telegram channel «Incident Krasnokamensk» reported that the accident occurred at the Urtuysky coal mine on February 1: presumably, the driver felt ill during repairs and fell from a ladder onto the cab platform, hitting his head. The channel also preliminarily specifies that he is in the regional hospital in Krasnokamensk, and the company has set up a commission to investigate the incident.
The State Labor Inspectorate promised to clarify information about the incident.
