Balezino cafe owner to pay compensation to teenagers after food poisoning

In Balezino, a court has ordered the owner of Cafe Voldemar to pay compensation to teenagers who were poisoned by food from this establishment. This was reported by the combined press service of the courts of Udmurtia.
The incident occurred in December 2024 at Cafe Voldemar, located at: Balezino settlement, Lev Tolstoy Street, 12a. The teenagers came to the establishment and ordered food there. However, soon after visiting this cafe, the schoolchildren felt severe malaise. Doctors diagnosed the young patients with acute gastroenteritis of moderate severity.
It was found that sanitary and epidemiological norms were not observed in the cafe. This led to the spread of the disease.
The prosecutor of the Balezinsky District, acting in the interests of the affected children, filed a lawsuit against the 65-year-old owner of the establishment. By court decision, the entrepreneur will pay the teenagers compensation for moral damage.
