AZUR Air to lodge passengers after unscheduled landing in Lanzhou

Airline AZUR Air will accommodate in a hotel the passengers of the Phuket–Barnaul flight, which was forced to make an unscheduled landing at Lanzhou airport. This was reported by NGS22.RU from the carrier«s press service.
Currently (17:30 Barnaul time), passengers are being disembarked into the airport terminal building, which is proceeding normally. Airport ground services are preparing to issue baggage.
To continue the flight to Barnaul, a reserve aircraft will be used. The airline will additionally inform about the departure time of the reserve aircraft from China. The press service added that due to the unscheduled landing of the Phuket-Barnaul flight, operational adjustments to the schedule are possible.
Recall that on January 23, over Chinese territory, from the board of the AZUR Air airliner operating the flight from Phuket to Barnaul, a distress signal was received. Soon the liner successfully landed in Lanzhou. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor«s Office, in turn, has started an inspection regarding the incident.
