Azur Air Plane Sends Distress Signal Over Vietnam

Azur Air provided updates after its Boeing 757 made an emergency landing in Hanoi following a distress signal.
An Azur Air aircraft issued a distress signal over Vietnam.
The flight departed from Nha Trang to Irkutsk. There were 238 passengers and 7 crew members on board.
The Boeing 757 climbed to an altitude of about 7,000 meters and then issued a distress signal. The aircraft circled for a long time over Hanoi, but after some time, it landed at the airport of the Vietnamese capital. No one was injured, according to the Azur Air Telegram channel.
«Due to the unscheduled landing, adjustments to the airline»s schedule may be required, with possible delays and flight changes. All passengers will be provided with services in accordance with Federal Aviation Rules,« the airline stated in a message.
They also added that all airline services are operating in enhanced mode. All necessary steps are being taken to service passengers and ensure the continuation of the flight to Russia.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the emergency landing could have been engine failure, writes the Telegram channel Shot. Last week, the same aircraft sent a distress signal over China. At that time, the plane was operating a flight from Phuket to Barnaul.
