Samara police are to investigate the details of an accident involving an ambulance. It occurred on the evening of Friday, January 23, in the Oktyabrsky district of the regional capital.
The foreign car, a Volkswagen Polo, sustained heavier damage from the collision.

According to preliminary information, the 55-year-old ambulance driver was moving along Moscow Highway. Traffic police inspectors clarified that the man was driving with flashing lights and special signals. At the intersection with Potapov Street, he ran a red light and collided with a Volkswagen Polo. Behind the wheel of the foreign car was a 21-year-old Samara resident. It is known that his driving experience did not exceed a year.
As a result of the accident, two people were injured.
«From the scene of the accident, passengers of the GAZ: a girl born in 2012 and a woman born in 2002 were taken to the hospital, where they were recommended outpatient treatment,» police explained.
Traffic police inspectors examined the accident scene, drew up a diagram of the accident, and took photos. They also interviewed the drivers and witnesses and reviewed footage from surveillance cameras.
Traffic police officers are also to investigate the details of another accident. On the night of Friday, January 23, a truck and a passenger car collided head-on on the highway. From the impact, the heavy truck caught fire.
