All Victims Are Adults: Five Hospitalized After Two-Truck Collision

Emergency services responded to a multi-vehicle collision on the Baikal highway that resulted in 12 injuries.
Five people were hospitalized at Slyudyanka hospital after a major accident involving two trucks and a minibus. All the victims are adults. This was reported by the Minister of Health of Buryatia, Yevgenia Ludupova, on her Telegram channel.

«Among them, one patient is in serious condition, and four are in moderately serious condition. All patients are undergoing examination and treatment,» clarified the head of the republic«s Ministry of Health.
To reinforce specialized emergency care, a team of doctors from the Irkutsk Territorial Center for Disaster Medicine has been sent to Slyudyanka.
Recall that the accident occurred today at around 5 p.m. near the village of Mangutai at the 124th kilometer of the federal highway «Baikal». Two trucks and a minibus traveling from Irkutsk to Ulan-Ude collided. Governor Igor Kobzev reported that 11 people were injured, five of whom were hospitalized. Later, police clarified that there were 12 victims — the driver and passengers of the bus.
The Investigative Committee (SK) has opened a criminal case regarding the accident under Article 238 of the Russian Criminal Code, «Provision of Services That Fail to Meet Safety Requirements». Police and the prosecutor«s office are conducting checks.
