Alexander Khinshtein Says Condition Worse Than Expected After Surgery
Initially, Khinshtein said he had only bruises, but it turned out that his femur was broken.
Former State Duma deputy from Samara Oblast Alexander Khinshtein, who was involved in a car accident on Thursday, January 22, has made contact. The politician reported that he underwent surgery.
The governor of Kursk Oblast plans to continue working despite doctors« orders.
«Good evening everyone. I am at the Kursk Oblast Clinical Hospital after the accident. Doctors have already successfully operated on me. The situation, unfortunately, is a bit worse than expected: a fractured femur, so I»ll have to spend some time here. The medics, however, insist that I completely abstain from all external contacts and work matters. But, of course, I can«t do that, and I don»t want to. So even in a horizontal position, I will continue to keep my finger on the pulse. A huge thank you to our medics, the Kursk Clinical Hospital, the ambulance team that quickly brought me here, professionals of the highest class. And thanks to colleagues from the Russian Ministry of Health, who are also very concerned about me,« said Alexander Khinshtein.
The governor of Kursk Oblast also reported that he was offered to be transported to Moscow, but he refused.
«No, we will be treated on Kursk soil,» declared the politician.
Khinshtein also thanked everyone who is worried about him.
«I see many messages that you send with words of support and wishes for a speedy recovery. This is very important, it gives me strength. Thank you, together we will overcome all troubles. Take care of yourselves,» the governor of Kursk Oblast addressed those expressing sympathy.
The Telegram channel Mash reported that the driver of a minibus may be found at fault for the accident. Supposedly, the man did not maintain a safe distance.
«According to our information, the car moving in front of the governor»s vehicle suddenly braked to turn left. But the driver did not turn on the turn signal, causing the official«s driver to fail to brake in time, attempted to avoid it, hit the roadside, and lost control,» shared Mash.
