Alexander Khinshtein Hospitalized After Car Accident
Alexander Khinshtein is remembered by residents of Samara Oblast as a corruption fighter and opponent of Dmitry Azarov
Former Russian State Duma deputy from Samara Oblast Alexander Khinshtein was involved in a car accident. The governor of Kursk Oblast reported this on his Telegram channel.
«Dear friends! Today I planned to work all day in the Konyshyovka district. Unfortunately, the weather conditions are difficult here. The car skidded on a difficult section of the road and was thrown onto the shoulder,» Khinshtein said.
The politician said that he is now in the hospital.
«Thank God, everything ended without serious consequences. There are no casualties, and we did not collide with other cars,» the governor of Kursk Oblast explained the situation.
Alexander Khinshtein apologized to the residents of the Konyshyovka district.
«As soon as I recover, we will definitely make up for it. I will stay in touch with you! Take care of yourselves and be careful on the roads!» the politician wrote.
According to the Telegram channel Mash, Alexander Khinshtein was one of the passengers in an eight-seater minibus.
«On a turn, the driver, known for reckless driving, lost control, the car skidded on the slippery road, was thrown onto the shoulder, and overturned. The governor has bruises and is in the hospital,» Mash reports.
In December 2024 Alexander Khinshtein became the acting governor of Kursk Oblast. Before that he represented the Samara region in the State Duma. The parliamentarian gained fame as an uncompromising corruption fighter.
