Alarm Triggers Evacuation of Yekaterinburg Shopping Center

All staff and visitors were evacuated from the Raduga Park shopping center. An announcement over the loudspeaker stated that the evacuation was due to an emergency situation. The announcement could be heard even outside.
Visitors were asked to remain calm during the evacuation. What exactly happened in the shopping center is still unknown.
The editorial board of E1.RU contacted the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Sverdlovsk Region for comment. They responded that they had not received any reports of an emergency at the shopping center.
In December, the Academichesky shopping center was evacuated. Visitors reported smelling smoke, but it later turned out that the fire alarm had been triggered by mistake. A month earlier, the Pekin shopping center was evacuated due to a fire.
