The accident occurred on January 16, 2026, on the territory of Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk. This was reported by the regional State Labor Inspectorate.

During the repair of an aircraft in the hangar of S7 Engineering LLC, a part of the landing gear strut suddenly flew off. At that moment, the shift supervisor approached the work site, and the flying part hit him in the chest. The man suffered a severe injury and was urgently taken to the hospital.

A commission has been established to investigate the incident. Currently, all circumstances and causes of what happened are being determined.

If violations of labor legislation requirements are identified, those responsible will be held administratively liable.

In the Novosibirsk region, a painter died on his first day of independent work. The tragic incident occurred on January 3 in the city of Kupino.
