On the Polevskoy Tract near Yekaterinburg, a crossover SUV and a passenger car collided, resulting in one death. Traffic on the highway is completely blocked, and traffic police, ambulances, and rescuers have arrived at the scene.

Witnesses describe shocking details. «A man in the front seat was trapped, he was half-leaned out smoking a cigarette. On the back seat, there was a bloody mess. There were many people in the car,» an eyewitness said.
Traffic police officers are seen managing the scene and redirecting vehicles away from the accident site.

Journalist Anastasia Yakupova, who is at the scene, added: «They say there»s a fatality here, this will take a long time. Traffic police officers recommend detouring via the Yekaterinburg Ring Road (EKAD). Two vehicles crashed: a crossover and a passenger car. No one knows how. Those who were first in the traffic jam have already left. The deceased is from the passenger car.«

According to preliminary information from the State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI), the driver of a Nissan entered the oncoming lane and caused a head-on collision with a Mercedes. A passenger in the Nissan died at the scene, and four other people from both vehicles sustained injuries of varying severity. Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
