Accident near Yaroslavl: two injured in collision

Both cars sustained serious damage as a result of the impact.
In the evening around 8:30 p.m., a collision of two cars occurred on the southwestern bypass road near Yaroslavl. The incident took place in the area of house No. 10 on Novoselov Street in Ivnyaki, involving a Chevrolet and a Mazda.
«As a result, the drivers of the foreign cars — a man and a woman — were injured. Based on the accident, a decision has been made to initiate an administrative offense case and conduct an administrative investigation under Article 12.24 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation,» law enforcement agencies reported.
According to updated data from the Yaroslavl Region Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the 35-year-old man received one-time medical assistance at the scene. The 42-year-old woman was taken to a hospital, where she was prescribed outpatient treatment.
The perpetrator may be subject to Article 12.24 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for violating traffic rules, resulting in harm to health. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of driver«s license for up to one and a half years.
