36-hour power line pylon installation in Murmansk region

Another permanent pylon was installed on January 30 in the Murmansk region. It took 36 hours to prepare the foundation, assemble, and lift the metal structure.
«We continue to work around the clock. At the site, there is 30-degree frost (-22°F) and squally wind. Preparations are underway for the installation of the third pylon,» reported the press service of Rosseti Severo-Zapad (Rosseti North-West).
On January 27, Rosseti Severo-Zapad completed the installation of two temporary pylons and supplied power to restore electricity to all disconnected consumers in Murmansk and Severomorsk.
Earlier, Chibis announced the cancellation of electricity payments for northerners during the power outages.
The prosecutor«s office of the Murmansk region has already launched an investigation due to the mass power outages. A criminal case has been initiated. It turned out that the fallen power line pylons had been in service for almost 60 years.
