On the afternoon of February 3, a nearly 30-kilometer traffic jam formed on the M-7 highway in the Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir regions. According to motorists, it is linked to weather conditions, accidents, and road restrictions.

According to online maps, traffic is congested on the stretch from the turnoff to Volodarsk to Gorokhovets. Segments near the bridge over the Klyazma River are marked in burgundy — road works are ongoing there, with traffic towards the capital organized in the left lane, reports the Upravdor Moskva — Nizhny Novgorod (Federal Road Administration Moscow — Nizhny Novgorod).

Witnesses are sharing footage of queues of trucks and cars standing in the direction of Moscow.

«People spend 10-12 hours a day waiting there. Road works have been going on for months, everyone used to get through fine. For some reason, everyone decided to neglect snow clearing and road treatment. <…> Heavy trucks can«t get up the hill and stop, blocking traffic,» wrote a motorist.
