17-year-old girl fatally struck on crosswalk on Chuysky Trakt
A Nissan vehicle struck a 17-year-old girl on an unregulated crosswalk near Chuysky village.
In the morning of February 2, in the Biysky district, a 17-year-old girl was fatally hit on a pedestrian crossing, the regional State Traffic Inspectorate reported.
The fatal accident occurred on the morning of February 2 along the Chuysky Trakt highway.
The tragedy occurred near the village of Chuysky. The girl was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing when a Nissan hit her, causing her to die at the scene before the ambulance arrived.
A criminal case has been initiated over the incident for violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, which negligently resulted in a person«s death. Currently, the driver is under a written pledge not to leave.
The head of the Russian MVD Main Directorate for the region, Sergey Kamyshev, has taken control of the investigation into the criminal case.
