Yekaterinburg Residents Invited for Cancer Screening and Check-ups

Doctors have invited Yekaterinburg residents to undergo medical check-ups and participate in a cancer screening event. The examination can be done at Polyclinic No. 2 (16 Bratyev Bykovykh Street) on January 24 from 09:00 to 15:00.

During the check-up, participants will be able to undergo:

• fluorography, which is an important step in lung health check;
  

• mammography — a necessary examination for women«s health;
  

• heart condition diagnostics — electrocardiography;
  

• measurement of intraocular pressure;
  

• blood test for a comprehensive health assessment;
  

• smear tests.

As part of the cancer screening event, doctor appointments are organized:

• an oncologist, who will provide professional consultation on cancer awareness;
  

• a dermatologist, who will conduct early diagnosis of skin diseases and neoplasms (dermoscopy).

«The campaign is aimed at early diagnosis and prevention of cancer. Doctors recommend monitoring one«s cancer status to everyone who has turned 30, and remind that prevention of oncological diseases makes it possible to prevent or diagnose a precancerous condition,» the Yekaterinburg city administration reported.
