Two Hundred Tula Residents Admitted to Intensive Care Over New Year Holidays

During the New Year holidays, intensive care services in Tula operated in round-the-clock mode. The regional health ministry reported on the results of medical work during the long New Year holidays.

Thus, during the holidays, about two hundred residents of Tula were admitted to the intensive care unit of the Vanykina Hospital, where they received timely and qualified medical assistance.

From this list, 34 people were admitted with sudden exacerbations of chronic diseases, heart attacks, and strokes.

In addition to intensive care units, trauma centers in Tula also operated round-the-clock during the New Year holidays.

In the period from January 12 to 17, in the Tula region, the number of cases of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and influenza sharply increased. 4,142 people were infected — this is 34% more than the previous week.
