Medicines in Stavropol Krai rise 10% in a year

Most of us use various medicines when needed. Illnesses, headaches, and other ailments prompt visits to the pharmacy. We spend significant amounts on such products, but over the past year, their prices have soared.

Specialists from North Caucasusstat (the North Caucasus statistical office) shared the results of monitoring the cost of medications, which increased by an average of 10% over the year. At the same time, vital drugs saw their prices rise by almost 7%.

It is worth noting that some items increased significantly — up to 30%. The list included vital drugs:

• Suprastin (+6.25%);

• salicylic acid (+6.83%);

• diclofenac (+8.5%);

• ibuprofen (+10.3%);

• hydrogen peroxide (+16.96%);

• chlorhexidine (+18.42%);

• Betaloc ZOK (+28.61%).

Other medications also soared in price:

• Miramistin (+2.05%);

• Pentalgin (+2.59%);

• nimesulide (+6.6%);

• iodine (+7.38%);

• Citramon (+14.8%);

• activated charcoal (+19.2%);

• Menovazin (+19.26%);

• Corvalol (+19.59%);

• Levomekol (+21.02%).

However, not only medicines are becoming more expensive, but also public transport fares. In Stavropol, public transport costs are being adjusted again. Prices on several municipal routes will increase as early as the beginning of February 2026.
