Kemerovo medical students record degrading patient videos

Videos and photos have been published on social media showing medical students from a Kemerovo educational institution mocking patients. Posts from a closed Telegram channel of one of the students, with taunts directed at patients, were shown on Sunday, February 1, in the «Incident Kemerovo» community.

As one subscriber reported, students from a local educational institution, who recently went to work in a medical facility, are recording videos of its patients during treatment. They post photos and videos in their private channels.

According to the author of the post, the young people are around 20 years old and in the videos they record people without clothing, while mocking their appearance, diagnoses, and behavior, simultaneously commenting on what is happening and leaving humiliating remarks.

The regional Ministry of Health has already responded to the released video and asked to clarify the place of study of the young medical workers.

UPDATE: It has been revealed that these are students of the Kuzbass Medical College. The institution noted that it will begin an investigation into the incident, and also clarified that this case is «egregious and completely contrary to both the professional ethics of medical workers and basic human values.»
