In Novosibirsk, doctors are restoring the spine of a Siberian woman who was injured while tubing down a mountain. This was reported by the Y.L. Tsivyan Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics.
Previous treatment did not help — the woman developed a severe spinal deformity. Due to constant pain, she was unable to work fully and maintain her usual lifestyle.
The second stage of the operation is now underway. Doctors are reconstructing the anterior part of the spine: the damaged section is removed and a special implant is installed to provide support.
Doctors urge caution and adherence to safety rules during winter recreation.
Recently, NGS reported that in Iskitim, a 15-year-old teenager was hospitalized after an accident on a slide.
