Doctors in Ryazan save child who swallowed blood pressure pills

The regional Ministry of Health reported on social media that the 2.8-year-old boy accidentally ate his grandmother«s blood pressure pills, which she had left unattended on a nightstand for just a minute. The child was attracted to the shiny packaging and managed to chew the medication before his parents arrived.
The boy«s mother immediately called an ambulance, and thanks to the team»s quick work, the child was saved.
«Our sincere gratitude to doctor Vladimir Vasilyev, paramedics Larisa Folomeyeva and Vladimir Demkin. They quickly did everything necessary in this situation and decided that the child required further medical observation. Special thanks to the driver Alexander Redkin. He managed, despite the monstrous consequences of the snowfall, to break through 10-point traffic jams to our remote neighborhood and then quickly delivered me and my little son to the hospital,» the mother said.
The mother also told the regional Ministry of Health that her son has now been discharged home and that his life and health are no longer in danger.
