Zaozerny District to Replace Over 3.5 km of Water and Sewer Pipes

Over 3.5 kilometers of piping is scheduled for replacement in the Zaozerny district of Kurgan.
In the Zaozerny district of Kurgan, over three and a half kilometers of pipeline will be replaced in 2026. This was announced by the press service of «Vodny Soyuz» (Water Union).

The pipe replacement work in Zaozerny is planned for completion in 2026.
To increase the throughput capacity of the utilities and improve network reliability, 1,700 meters of water supply pipe with a diameter of 630 mm on Rodkina Street are being replaced. In the same area, near microdistrict 11, sewer collector No. 16 is being relaid. The length of the renewed section will be over 900 meters, and the diameter of the new collector is 1,200 mm.
Another gravity sewer collector No. 15 is being replaced on the section from microdistrict 11 to microdistrict No. 6a. Here, 800 meters of new pipe with a diameter of 1,200 mm will be laid. The service life of the new utilities, according to the manufacturer, is 50 years.
Last year, residents of the Zaozerny district complained about flooding with sewage. The cause of the utility accidents, according to «Vodny Soyuz», is that residents throw garbage into the sewer, which causes blockages.
