In Khanty-Mansiysk, traffic inspectors rescued a shift worker who was freezing in -45°C (-49°F) frost after his tire punctured on the highway and he could not change it. The State Traffic Inspectorate of Yugra reported the incident.

The shift worker«s health is not in danger after the frost exposure.

«At the 138th kilometer of the »Yugra« highway, inspectors from the separate company of the road patrol service of the Intermunicipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia »Khanty-Mansiysky«, Denis Raspopov and Alexey Zemerov, noticed a car with hazard lights on. It turned out that the driver, returning from a shift in the village of Poykovsky, had a punctured tire. Due to a broken jack, the man could not fix the problem and began to freeze,» the statement said.

While the man warmed up in the patrol car, the inspectors replaced the punctured tire in the abnormal frost. The driver expressed sincere gratitude to the traffic police officers for their responsiveness and professionalism, noting that without their help, there could have been serious consequences.
