A yellow weather warning has been issued in St. Petersburg due to abnormal frosts. The warning was issued on February 4.
According to meteorological data, on the night of February 4–5, thermometers in some districts of the city will show below -20 degrees Celsius (-4°F).
Chief meteorologist of St. Petersburg Alexander Kolesov notes that residents will face two cold nights. On Friday, February 6, the temperature in the city center will drop to -18 degrees Celsius (-0.4°F), and in the suburbs it will be around -20 degrees Celsius (-4°F).
