On 23 January, a new computed tomography room began operations at the Yekaterininskaya Clinic on Congressnaya Street, 15/1. It is equipped with a 128-slice GE Revolution EVO tomograph, which belongs to expert-class equipment. Previously, for diagnostics of this level, one had to travel to leading medical centers in the country.

CT coronary angiography is now possible for patients with arrhythmia and rapid pulse.

The launch of the new device allows CT diagnostics in Krasnodar to reach a higher level in terms of accuracy, safety, and speed of examinations. The tomograph provides images with spatial resolution up to 0.28 mm, which is important for early detection of oncological, cardiovascular, and neurological diseases.

Among the key features of the equipment are a reduction in image noise by up to 91% and a decrease in radiation dose for patients by up to 82% due to the use of ASiR-V reconstruction technology. This allows examinations to be conducted with less radiation without loss of diagnostic quality. The device is also designed to examine patients weighing up to 180 kg (397 lb).

The new tomograph is used in various medical fields: for strokes and other vascular pathologies of the brain, in oncology — to clarify tumor boundaries, in traumatology — for 3D reconstruction of complex fractures, as well as for vascular diseases and thromboses.

The equipment holds particular significance for cardiology. Thanks to the intelligent Smart Cardiac system, it has become possible to perform CT coronary angiography on patients with arrhythmia and rapid pulse, which was previously difficult.

‘The launch of the new CT room is an important stage in the clinic«s development. We have implemented one of the most modern computed tomography systems so that patients can receive diagnostics at the level of leading world medical centers,’ said Luiza Gatova, Deputy Chief Physician for Radiation Diagnostics at the Yekaterininskaya Clinic.

The opening of the new room expands the availability of high-tech diagnostics for residents of Krasnodar and Krasnodar Krai. Now, many complex examinations can be conducted locally, without referral to federal medical centers and long waiting times.
