In Yekaterinburg, it has been decided to relocate the inscription «Who are we, where from, where are we going?» The famous art installation by Timofey Rada will leave its original rooftop.

This information was confirmed to E1.RU by its own source. A new location for the inscription has not been chosen yet. A Telegram channel close to the mayor«s office has launched a poll with several options. Currently leading are the Makarovsky Bridge, the fence of the City Pond, and the weir of the Plotinka. The letter »stand« will likely be dismantled, but the inscription is promised to be preserved.

«A place will be found, there»s no need to worry,« writes the channel »Yekaterinburg. The Main Thing.«

The inscription «Who are we, where from, where are we going?» on the roof of the Ural Instrument-Making Plant building was installed in September 2017, when the Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art was opening there. The idea belonged to street artist Timofey Rada. The art installation references the title of one of the most famous paintings by Paul Gauguin, called «Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?»

Previously, there was a proposal to remove the legendary inscription entirely — we wrote about it.
