Yaroslavl to Sell Historic Buildings in Privatization Plan

Several historic buildings in Yaroslavl are set for privatization and sale in 2026. The list includes properties in the city center and on the outskirts.

In Yaroslavl, several historic buildings and premises are planned to be included in the privatization plan and put up for sale in 2026. This was announced on January 27 at a city-wide meeting in the mayor«s office by Denis Pugovishnikov, chairman of the municipal property management committee.

According to him, the list is planned to be expanded in February and May.

‘If the historic buildings are currently in unsatisfactory condition, our task is to find investors who will take care of these objects,’ noted Yaroslavl Mayor Artem Molchanov.

Which buildings will go under the hammer:

  • 2 Bolshaya Norskaya Street (regional cultural heritage site — ‘Estate of the Horse Yard’);

  • 5 1905 Goda Street (regional cultural heritage site — ‘Barracks for workers of the Norskaya Manufactory’);

  • Premises on the second floors of houses at: 7, 9, 11, 15 Deputatskaya Street (No. 7 — local cultural heritage site ‘Residential house of the Gartsevs with shops’, No. 9 — local cultural heritage site ‘Residential house with a shop of the Shaposhnikov estate’, No. 11 — regional cultural heritage site ‘Trading house with shops of the Gnuzdev estate’, No. 15 — local cultural heritage site ‘Apartment building of Karpychev’);

  • 8 Nakhimson Street (identified cultural heritage site — ‘Apartment building of Eltekov-Shishonkov’);

  • 10 Nakhimson Street (identified cultural heritage site — ‘Apartment building of Yeshkov’).

Recall that we published a photo report from house No. 5 on 1905 Goda Street. Currently, the historic building is abandoned and in a state of decay.
