In Yaroslavl, residents of two districts have complained about the accumulation of household waste in courtyards. The problem spots are located at: Babicha Street, 17k3 in Dzerzhinsky District and Gagarina Street, 41 in Krasnoperekopsky District.
On Babicha Street, garbage has not been collected since January 10. One resident reported that they submitted a request to the unified dispatch service on January 13, but the situation has not changed. As stated by the press service of the mayor«s office, an inspection on January 20 showed that the waste at this site has already been removed.
Waste collection in the city is handled by the regional operator Khartiya LLC. According to Maria Sachkova, Minister of Tariff Regulation of Yaroslavl Region, 2026 will be the last year for this company. From 2027, the duties will transfer to a new operator.
The second trouble spot is the container site at Gagarina Street, 41. Local residents have actively complained about the condition of the area on social media. One city resident wrote: «Year after year, the garbage site opposite »Russian Hunt« on Nefteistroy is in this state. In spring, they pile up black bags with leaves or cut trees, and in winter, this chaos. We write year after year!»
The mayor«s office responded to these appeals. The press service of the administration reported: »The territorial administration has submitted a request for garbage collection at the specified address.«
The city administration reminded that when problems with waste removal arise, residents can contact:
- the contact center of Khartiya LLC at phones: 8 (4852) 233-800 or 8 (4852) 207-202;
- the unified duty dispatch service at number: 8 (4852) 40-40-40.
Separately, it is worth noting that at the end of December 2025, regional authorities announced an annual increase in the garbage collection tariff by 15% until 2032. This is related to plans to modernize the waste management system and build a new waste sorting landfill.
