A participant from the Yaroslavl region has become the winner of three million rubles (approximately $40,000) in a lottery organized by the company Stoloto. According to a statement from the operator«s press service, the lucky winner has not yet visited the lottery center to claim the prize.

The draw that determined the winner took place on January 26. To win the super prize of 30 million rubles (about $400,000), it was necessary to correctly mark five numbers in the first field and two in the second. The prize amount depends on the number of matches. The resident of the region guessed five numbers in the first part of the ticket and one in the second.

Stoloto believes that the winner probably does not know about their success. It has been established that the ticket was purchased for only 65 rubles (around $1) using the lottery operator«s mobile application.

The deadline for claiming the prize through the lottery center is approximately 3.5 years from the date of the draw. The ticket can be checked in several ways:

  • in the Stoloto mobile app;
  • on the company«s official website;
  • by phone at 8 900 555-00-55.

In January of this year, two other residents of the Yaroslavl region also won one million rubles (about $13,300 each) in the New Year draws of Mechtallion. In addition, a million-ruble prize in the National Lottery was won by a pensioner from Rostov Veliky (in Yaroslavl Oblast).

Since 2014, all lotteries on the territory of Russia have state status. Their organizers are the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation. A tax of 13% is withheld from any winnings.
