Yaroslavl Plans Sale of Historical Buildings

City authorities plan to auction off several cultural heritage sites in 2026.

The privatization plan for municipal property in Yaroslavl for 2026 may include a number of historical buildings. These intentions were announced on January 27 at a city-wide meeting in the mayor«s office by Denis Pugovishnikov, chairman of the committee for municipal property management.
According to his information, the list of objects for sale will be supplemented in February and May of this year.
Yaroslavl Mayor Artem Molchanov commented on these plans: «If historical buildings are currently in unsatisfactory condition, our task is to find investors who will take care of these objects.»

The following objects may be offered for sale:

  • Bolshaya Norskaya Street, 2 (regional cultural heritage site «Ensemble of the Horse Yard»);
  • 1905 Goda Street, 5 (regional cultural heritage site «Barracks for Workers of the Norskaya Manufactory»);
  • Premises on the second floors of houses at addresses: Deputatskaya Street, 7 (local cultural heritage site «Residential House of the Gartsevs with Shops»), 9 (local cultural heritage site «Residential House with a Shop of the Shaposhnikov Estate»), 11 (regional cultural heritage site «Trade House with Shops of the Gnuzdev Estate»), 15 (local cultural heritage site «Income House of Karpychev»);
  • Nakhimson Street, 8 (identified cultural heritage site «Income House of Eltekov-Shishonkov»);
  • Nakhimson Street, 10 (identified cultural heritage site «Income House of Yeshkov»).
Some of these buildings, for example the barracks on 1905 Goda Street, are currently in a derelict state and severely damaged.
