Yana Goncharova has been appointed head of the Department of Agriculture in the Nizhny Novgorod city administration. The department was created after the annexation of Kstovsky District to the city.

Yana Goncharova has been appointed head of the Department of Agriculture in the Nizhny Novgorod city administration. The announcement was posted on the city administration«s website on 2 February.
The department was created after the merger of the city with Kstovsky District. Its key tasks are to support the agro-industrial complex and local producers, as well as expand the range of products of regional origin.
Before moving to her new post, Goncharova served as deputy director of the Department of Economic Development. According to available information, she has worked in the Nizhny Novgorod city administration for more than ten years.
Kstovsky District was annexed to Nizhny Novgorod last year. This event led to structural changes in the city administration. In particular, former head of the district Ivan Ulanov became deputy mayor of Yuri Shalabaev.
