The ice park «Saydar» on Lake Saisary in Yakutsk is preparing to open on February 14. This was reported to the 14.RU correspondent by the Saisary District Administration.

Construction is currently underway, with the total park area about four hectares. A food court, slides, and an ice rink will be set up on the territory, and a rental point for equipment will also open. As park director Alexey Vasilyev told the publication «Yakutsk Vecherny,» the focus will be on illumination and photo zones.

«Work on construction is in full swing, we plan to open sometime in mid-February. Soon we will hold a festival of ice sculptures on the themes of »Soyuzmultfilm« (the Russian animation studio) and »characters from «Tooku» by NVK. The competition works will become art objects of the snow town. There is no final decision on the entrance price yet, but I think it will be around 500 rubles (approximately $5 at current rates),« said Vasilyev.

In February, the ice park «Northern Lights» will also open in the 202nd microdistrict, its construction began back in November 2025. Usually, the town builds ice slides, rarely crafts ice figures, and one can ride a banana boat or descend from a height inside a rubber ball – a zorb. It is not yet known if there will be innovations this year. Last year, the park started operating on February 14 and ended the season on April 7.
