The 55-year-old woman of Latin American origin was arrested on suspicion of murdering her 67-year-old partner. The man«s body with signs of violent death was found in their home in Bilbao.
Neighbors reported hearing shouting from the couple«s apartment before the crime.
After the murder, the woman reportedly went to a store with bloodied hands. Her adult daughter called the police after learning about the incident. Neighbors said that before the crime, shouting was heard from the couple«s apartment.

The victim survived the attack but suffered permanent physical and psychological trauma. Despite this, he asked the court to show leniency to his wife. She was sentenced to seven years in prison, and her son-in-law to four years.
