According to NGS, Yuri Periyazev, head of the Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Department for the Sovetsky District, said that no complaints have been received on this matter, nor any reports of ruptured heat-carrying pipes.

«As of this morning, not a single telephone message has come in from the right bank (Demakova and Arbuzova streets),» he noted.

During one measurement, the thermometer showed a temperature of +26°C (79°F). According to the West Siberian Hydrometeorological Service (UGMS), it was -18.9°C (-2°F) in Novosibirsk on the morning of February 5.

NGS has requested comment from the Novosibirsk city administration and the regional Ministry of Natural Resources.
