Water Main Break on Oktyabrskaya Embankment
On Monday, January 26, in the evening, a technical failure occurred on the cold water supply network on Oktyabrskaya Embankment in the Nevsky District, as a result of which several residential buildings were left without water. The incident was reported by the press service of Vodokanal.
The first sign of the accident was water leaking onto the roadway near house No. 64 on Oktyabrskaya Embankment. Specialists localized the leak by 20:40, and during the inspection, they identified a technical failure.
During the repair work, cold water supply was disconnected in four houses:
- Oktyabrskaya Embankment, 62, building 1;
- Oktyabrskaya Embankment, 64, building 1;
- Oktyabrskaya Embankment, 64, building 2;
- Oktyabrskaya Embankment, 64, building 3.
To provide residents with water, an alternative source was organized — a tanker trailer.
Work to eliminate the failure began promptly. The technical failure was completely resolved by 01:30, after which water supply was restored to all affected houses.
