Water Main Break Causes Street Closures in Kuibyshevsky District
A rupture in a 250-millimeter water main has disrupted supply to several streets in the district.
On Tuesday afternoon, January 20, a cold water supply network accident occurred in Samara. The defect was found in Kuibyshevsky District near house No. 32 on Kaliningradskaya Street. Specialists from «RKS-Samara» and district head Alexei Pugachev are already on site.
«Repair work is underway on a 250 mm diameter water pipeline, with preparations for opening and installing a bypass to restore cold water supply,» RKS reported.
During the work, homes on three streets are without water: Kaliningradskaya, Neftyanikov, and Moldavskaya. Water boilers have been set up for local residents at the following addresses:
Kaliningradskaya, 50;
intersection of 40 Let Pionerii and Rizhskaya streets;
Bakinskaya, 7.
Moreover, traffic has been restricted in the area of Kaliningradskaya, 32. The estimated completion time for the work is 6 p.m.
While Kuibyshevsky District is without cold water, in Kirovsky and Promyshlenny districts, residents are awaiting the resumption of heat supply. Specialists from «T Plus» are fixing a defect on the heating networks on Tashkentskaya Street and on the 8th Просеka. They promise to restore heating by the end of the day.
