A nostalgic trend has gained popularity online, where users compare themselves in 2026 and 2016. Sometimes the changes are startling in their radicalness.
We decided to compare how Yaroslavl has changed over 10 years. We show which facilities have been spruced up and how the appearance and atmosphere of the streets have changed.
Construction of the TOWERS business center began back in 2006, when the first building permit was obtained. The project was ambitious for the city, but turned into an unfinished construction site for many years.
The Youth Theater itself has not yet opened its doors to audiences after a major renovation; we wrote about the reasons in a separate article.
The complex was planned as a large business, trade and exhibition center «City-Yaroslavl» near the bus station. Work began in 2004 and was supposed to be completed by 2006. But the developer went bankrupt. Talk about the future of this complex resurfaced precisely in 2016.
