Volunteers Sought in Darasun to Help Restore Apartment Heat

Volunteers are being awaited in the village of Darasun, Karymsky District, Zabaykalsky Krai, to organize door-to-door visits, aiming to help residents of multi-story buildings bleed air from their radiators. This was reported to a Chita.Ru correspondent on January 22 by local resident Oleg, who is organizing the effort.
Residents of the village complained to Chita.Ru about cooling radiators in apartments due to issues at the boiler house on January 21. Later it became known that a rupture occurred on the main heating pipeline in the village. 17 apartment buildings (2,250 people) and a secondary school were left without heat. The rupture is being repaired with clamps, and the houses overnight were switched to a backup supply scheme.
«We won»t refuse help from volunteers. People can come if their hearts call them. We«ll need to go apartment to apartment helping to bleed air, because people aren»t made of iron either. We«ve been doing it all night. Local residents are helping, we already have people, starting from the deputy minister of housing and communal services of the region, five people from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS), the head of the district is here on site,» the publication«s interlocutor said.
He added that those wishing to help can come to the village of Darasun at the Central Boiler House, from where all work is coordinated.
In comments under a post on the Telegram channel of Chita.Ru, some residents of Darasun indeed write that the radiators have become hot. Others report that there is still no heating.
