On the morning of 4 February, Volgograd«s air defense system was activated due to an attack by Ukrainian drones. As a result, students of School No. 64 in the Krasnoarmeysky District were moved to a protected shelter.
The administration of Volgograd Oblast denied rumors of an evacuation of the school. According to official data, the students were temporarily placed in a safe location while the air defense was active.
— The regional Committee for Education and Science denied information about an evacuation of the school, — the agency stated. — Due to the operation of air defense, students were moved to a safe room. At present, the students have returned to their studies, and the institution is operating normally.
Governor Andrei Bocharov confirmed that drones attacked industrial facilities in the south of Volgograd. Currently, a drone threat alert remains in effect in the region.
Restrictions on flights at Volgograd Airport have been lifted, but three flights from Moscow are delayed: two from Aeroflot and one from Pobeda.
