Volgograd searches for missing 12-year-old in freezing weather

In the Kirovsky district of Volgograd, a 12-year-old schoolgirl who disappeared without a trace in the frost is being searched for. According to the girl«s mother, this morning she went out to throw away trash but never returned home. Police have joined the search.
“My daughter left at 11:00 to throw out the trash. Before this, when she left, there were never any problems. She goes there and back. The trash area is right near us, a minute«s walk from home. Thirty minutes passed, she wasn»t back. We rushed to look for her,” the girl«s mother told V1.RU. “Dad went to search for her by car, I started searching in the stairwell. We noticed that she didn»t take the house keys. We drove around the entire ‘Coliseum’ residential complex, she wasn«t there. Our child is disabled, she might have reacted, gone to school. She knows which bus to take, how to get there. Dad went to Krasnoarmeysky, went to the school, she»s nowhere to be found.”
According to the woman, she filed a report with the police. Now, officers have gone to the ‘Cosmos’ shopping center in the Kirovsky district.
The girl was wearing a light-colored fur-trimmed jacket, a light-colored hat with black ear flaps, black pants, and boots. Notable features include: height 134 centimeters (4 feet 5 inches), average build, light brown hair, brown eyes.
Earlier, in the Kikvidzensky district, the search for a 15-year-old teenager who went missing on New Year«s Eve was called off. He was found dead on the morning of January 1 a few steps from home. According to an editorial source, the boy froze to death. Head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin demanded a report on the progress of the criminal investigation into the teenager»s death in the village of Zavyazka.
