Residents of Volgograd expressed dissatisfaction with the upcoming concert (0+) of notoriously controversial streamer Ivan Zolo, at whose performances in other cities teenagers have caused stampedes, fights, broken glass doors, and thrown underwear and condoms onto the stage. Residents are calling for a boycott of the performance and appealing to the city administration to prevent the concert from taking place.
In Volgograd, the performance is scheduled for 6:00 PM on March 15. Ticket prices range from 1,000 rubles (approximately $10) for the dance floor to 4,500 rubles (approximately $45) for a premium ticket — which includes access to a sound check, a chance to talk with the artist, and a photo. However, judging by the reaction of residents, not everyone is ready to spend that money. The opinions of V1.RU readers turned out to be quite unambiguous and not entirely positive.
«I judge by the cover and that«s that… God forbid your children have such idols.»
«What kind of artists do we have? The maestros of pop are leaving, there«s little replacement.»
«I«ll go to Shaman. Even if his tickets are more expensive, he»s worth it. Not this scarecrow. These days anyone sings who wants to.»
«Fights, pogroms, condoms, underwear, and no age restriction — 0+… Why do they even let such people on stage?»
«So they foist these talents on the hero city Volgograd to corrupt the youth!»
«It would be good to start a boycott so that this streamer doesn«t come here.»
«Who allows this? We have a so-called minister of culture, where are they looking? Or do they live on another planet? Wake up already, use your brains! What is going on?»
However, there were also those who are not fans of Ivan Zolo«s work but do not consider it right to ban his performances.
«Regarding the discontent with the concert, let the fans decide with their rubles whether he is needed here or not. But to simply ban what you don«t like — that»s rock bottom,» a V1.RU reader noted.
It is worth noting that residents of Cherepovets also expressed discontent with Ivan Zolo«s performance. The main issues that concerned parents see are songs with »unworthy content« and the influence on the »younger generation.« The mayor of Cherepovets, Roman Maslov, responded to the demand to cancel the concert.
«Today in the comments, concerned parents contacted me regarding the planned concert of the performer Ivan Zolo,» the mayor wrote on his social media page. «We pay close attention to issues of moral health of our youth. I consider it important to ensure cultural events that are safe and aligned with societal values. Following prompt interaction with the management of the venue, the decision has been made to cancel the concert of this artist in Cherepovets. Thank you for the feedback — your opinion helps us build a sound cultural policy for the city.»
V1.RU«s editorial office is inquiring how the city administration assesses the complaints and discontent of Volgograd residents.
Recall that Ivan Zolo is not the first artist whose concert has caused such discontent among Volgograd residents. For over a month, posters announcing Lolita«s performance have been vandalized across the city, and the singer herself faces threats of complaints and event disruption. Participants of the Special Military Operation (SVO) appealed to the prosecutor of the Volgograd region with a video message, reminding the singer not only of the scandalous »naked« party but also of her outrageous remarks about Muscovites.
