Volgograd Residents Complain of Apartment Heating Outages

Following the warming that occurred in Volgograd after -20°C (-4°F) frosts, cases of heating shutdowns have increased in the city. Residents of various districts are noting cold radiators in their apartments.
‘Angarskaya, 7a, b, g, d, 9a — the power went out, followed by the heating disappearing,’ complain residents. ‘There was no electricity for about an hour and a half, some accident happened, and the radiators have already cooled down.’
‘Lavochkina Street, Raboche-Krestyanskaya Street, without heating since 09:00. The phones of the management company and the district office are not answering calls,’ lament Volgograd residents. ‘Who knows why the heating was turned off on 50 Let Oktyabrya Street, 20?’
In ‘Concessii Teplosnabzheniya’ (Heating Supply Concessions), they explained that in some houses on 50 Let Oktyabrya Street, heat is temporarily supplied with reduced parameters due to repair work on Olimpiyskaya Street.
‘The temporary limitation of resource supply to individual houses on Raboche-Krestyanskaya and Lavochkina Streets is related to work on the networks in the Voroshilovsky District, which is almost completed. In the near future, the supply will be restored in full,’ assured the resource-supplying organization.
