Volgograd Microdistrict Faces 10-Hour Cold Water Shutdown

Workers promise to complete repairs in 10 hours and restore cold water supply.
In Volgograd on Sunday, 8 February, thousands of people will be left without cold water. The water utility Koncessii Vodosnabzheniya (Concessions of Water Supply) has planned repairs to the main water pipeline in the Sovetsky District of the city.
Information about the upcoming shutdown appeared on the official website of Koncessii. It is expected that all work will take about 10 hours.
“To carry out restoration work by specialists of Koncessii Vodosnabzheniya on the main pipeline in the Sovetsky District of Volgograd, from 09:00 to 19:00 on 8 February, the supply of the resource will be suspended,” says a statement from Koncessii Vodosnabzheniya.
Houses at the following addresses will be without cold water:
Universitetsky Prospekt, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23;
Sukhova Street, 17, 19, 21;
Kazakhskaya Street, 14, 16, 18, 22, 24, 26, 28, 32;
Novosibirskaya Street, 66;
Peschanokopskaya Street, 13, 15, 17.
Whether the shutdown will affect the supply of hot water and heat to apartment buildings in the Sovetsky District has not been specified.
