Volgograd hospital and museum lose power in outage

A significant power outage was recorded on January 22 in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. Several socially important facilities were affected:
- clinical emergency hospital No. 15;
- the local military commissariat;
- the Old Sarepta museum-reserve.
The museum administration was the first to report the issue. In its official Telegram channel, the institution posted a message: «Dear guests of our museum! Today the museum is closed for technical reasons. We apologize!» Staff explained that the forced closure was due to the sudden cessation of power supply.
According to the Volgograd Interdistrict Networks company, the cause of the incident was a technological damage to an underground cable. «Power supply stopped due to technological damage to an underground electric cable,» the organization explained. «Work was being carried out in the area, as a result of which the cable was damaged. The outages affected the museum-reserve, the military commissariat, and the hospital. Soon the faults were rectified. At 16:10, power supply was already restored.»
