Volgograd holds farewell for schoolgirl who fell from window
In the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd, a farewell is being held for a 14-year-old schoolgirl who fell from a fifth-floor window and later died in the intensive care unit of City Hospital No. 15.
The tragedy occurred on January 22 on Kanatchikov Avenue. At the site, under the balcony of the house where the girl fell, a spontaneous memorial has formed. Residents bring flowers, plush toys, and children«s books there, and continue to do so to this day.
The ceremony is attended by 20 to 30 people. As reported by V1.RU correspondent Denis Gusakov, among those who came are both relatives and people completely unknown to the family. One of them is a relative of a girl who, together with a friend, fell from the 16th floor in the Kirovsky district of Volgograd in April last year, came to express support.
«Relatives are gathering slowly. About 20-30 people have already come. At the site, there is a spontaneous memorial of flowers and toys. Nearby lies that very bloodstained sheet... Both relatives and people completely unknown to the family are coming. A relative of one of the girls who, together with a friend, fell from the 16th floor in the Kirovsky district, came just to support. They bring soft toys with them. One man brought a huge plush bear,» reports the journalist.
On the way to the cemetery, the teenager«s mother had a hysterical fit. Earlier, the woman stated that her daughter had no problems in her personal life and called such talk rumors. The prosecutor»s office previously noted that the girl grew up in a well-off family and was raised by her mother and stepfather.
