Vladivostok court rules to demolish Chinese cafe under overpass

Prosecutors have obtained a court order for the demolition of the «Beijing» pan-Asian cuisine cafe, located under the Nekrasovsky Overpass in Vladivostok. The establishment was found to be illegally placed in the protective zone of heating networks, according to the press service of the Primorsky Krai prosecutor«s office.

The reason for the proceedings was a check on the implementation of land legislation. The supervisory authority found that the owner of the Chinese cuisine cafe occupied the area under the overpass in violation: the public catering facility was placed within the boundaries of the heating networks« protective zone and contrary to the intended use of the land.

The prosecutor of Vladivostok«s Pervorechensky district filed a lawsuit with the court, demanding that the legal entity vacate the site, dismantle the structure, and restore the territory to its original state. The court fully satisfied the prosecutor»s demands, and the actual execution of the decision was placed under the control of the supervisory body.

As previously reported by the regional prosecutor«s office, the cafe building is illegally located in the zone of engineering communications, which »does not ensure compliance with safety requirements and poses a threat to the life and health of citizens.« The operation of the establishment has been banned, and the cafe»s phones are currently unavailable.

However, «Beijing» had been operating at this location for more than ten years and previously had not drawn complaints from inspectors. In reviews on the «2GIS» service, visitors called it «the cleanest Chinese cuisine cafe» in Vladivostok, noting the high level of service and affordable prices.
