A large-scale inspection of preschool institutions has yielded alarming findings. In 2025, specialists conducted mandatory preventive visits to 548 kindergartens in Tula region, and the results showed problems with nutrition, water, and the sanitary condition of premises.

During the inspections, 2,140 samples of ready-made dishes and food products were examined, 548 samples of drinking water, 1,020 surface swabs were taken, 302 samples of soil and sand were checked, and thousands of measurements were made inside buildings—from lighting to microclimate. Laboratory tests revealed deviations in water samples in microbiological and sanitary-chemical indicators, violations were also found in ready-made dishes—both in microbiology and in calorie content and portion completeness. Contamination was detected on surfaces in premises, cases of insufficient lighting, violations in light pulsation, individual deviations in microclimate, and even in furniture parameters. Problems were also identified in part of the food products.

All products that did not meet the requirements were withdrawn from circulation. Among the typical violations are non-compliance with standards when organizing children«s meals, incorrect use of cleaning and disinfecting agents, as well as shortcomings in cleaning, disinfection, and conducting morning health screenings with temperature checks.

Based on the visits, kindergartens were issued orders to eliminate the violations, copies were sent to the founders, and materials on the identified facts were transferred to the prosecutor«s office for further action.
