Pavel Cherepanov, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Perm Krai, published a video from the construction site of a multifunctional sports arena near DKZh on his Telegram channel. In August last year, a photographer from 59.RU observed how work was progressing at the site. Over five months, the arena has grown significantly, added several floors, and the outlines of the stands are already visible.
The sports complex will occupy 79,000 square meters and be five stories high. It will house two ice rinks: a main one for 10,000 spectators and a training one for 500 people. International-level competitions in hockey, basketball, figure skating, curling, rhythmic gymnastics, and other sports will be held there.
Construction of the arena is planned to be completed in the second half of 2027.
Previously, we reported on the demolition of buildings on the territory of the former infectious diseases hospital. In its place, they plan to build Alexander Square.
